When my husband and I took them to class yesterday, I observed how content DENVER was while DESTIN was in her class. DENVER didn't cry, but enjoyed waiting with her dad. However, when It was Destin's turn to wait she had a fit! She cried & she complained! She didn't want to color or eat a snack, she simply wanted to go play. The interesting thing was nothing could calm her down. Seeing her sister play tortured her. I told her let's cheer for her sister, and she said no. She didn't calm down until Denver was done playing and with her. They were both on the same page, not having fun or playing.
Let's be completely honest, how many of us do this when we see someone we know and love enjoying life? I've definitely been there a few times! It can be marriage, a raise at work, being with child, etc. Why can't we be excited or happy for that person? Why must we throw a fit and complain about that person's TIME?
Take turns! When you're waiting, cheer that person on and show excitement because you won't always be waiting! When you're the one being blessed, encourage the ones that are waiting. All in all, be content in your waiting time! Grow & learn in that time! Waiting builds strength and character!
