I like keeping people around me I can grow from and those that can be real and upfront with me.
I don't like drama, so anyone with those qualifications tend not to be in my inner circle. They can't handle or properly advise the team because they're so caught up in their own personal woes.
I'm also that friend who gives to her friends and make sure that they are well taken care of at all times. It's become a little harder since I've gotten married and had children, but when I think of it, I reach out to them.
You should never have a non-contributor in your space. Useless individuals become weight and you will have to carry them everywhere and carry them to everything. I strongly believe if there is se on your squad that's benefitting from the teams hard work, they need to go! Especially if they are using your benefits to build their own thing. There's a snake and a leech in your camp. Cut it off! It'll kill the the momentum.
It's also great to have friends who understand your lifestyle. They don't get offended by you not calling them back or answering every call. They're cool with a text response when l else fails.
Lastly, I believe when building a great support system you all are alike when dealing with one another, but bring your own added ingredient in the friendship.
